Can't deploy Configuration Manager Console RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to deploy Configuration Manager Console on Windows 8 computer.

Of course, computer is joined to domain and dns is working OK.

During setup, when I enter FQDN of site server, I get:
The site server name you have entered is not valid.

Console on SCCM server works without problems!

    Thanks for help in advance!

  • I managed to install it.

    I simply add site name:
    sccm
    instead of:
    sccm.c.mydomain.com

  • What have you entered exactly? Does the string contain any weird characters? Is smsadminui.log already available at that point of time?

  • I entered:
    sccm.c.mydomain.com
    (FQDN of site server).

    I can't figure nothing usable from ConfigMgrAdminUISetup.log
