  • You may need to check with AMD technical support to find out if the patch for FX processors is needed.  There apparently 2 patches out.  See infor at the following links:

  • Hi,

It seems to be a problem with the “Bulldozer” processors.

Please refer to the link below to check the issue:

You cannot install Windows XP Mode on a Windows 7-based computer that has an AMD Bulldozer-based multicore processor installed

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2519949

If it doesn’t work, I would like to suggest you check the event log.

What information appears in event logs (Event Viewer)?

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-Viewer

Please use Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) to upload the Error logs to a public folder and share the URLs with us.

    Hope it helps.

    Thank you for your update.

Generally Windows logs provides a clue when it fails, please check the Application logs under Windows logs in Event view.

You may also check the file located C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log and open it in notepad to see if any error is recorded.
