bcdedit cannot execute RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
I'm trying to view my boot manager in vista 64 with bcdedit /enum, but it gives me this message "The boot configuration data store could not be opened.
Access is denied". I typed the command in C:\windows\system32 and I also have an administrator account and it still will not execute. Any suggestions
would really be appreciated. Thank you

  • Hi,

Try opening an elevated command prompt. Right-click on the CMD icon and click "Run as administrator". From this opened CLI, execute bcedit (with the requisite switched).

  • Hi Mr. Salvador Manaois III,

You're right on the target. Followed your instructions and instantly it displayed
the contents of my bcd store. Thank you so much for answering my question.

    Best wishes,
