wildcard certificates on TMG RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to sort out the various compatibility issues with using Wildcard Certificates... with TMG, Exchange 2010, Remote Desktop and XP SP3 with Outlook 2007+ clients

    * * * Can I have multiple wildcard SSL certificates per IP address?

On TMG, I thought I wanted multiple Web Listeners (for different purposes), each listener with a single IP address and 1 SAN certificate assigned to the IP address of that listener.

    i.e. Exchange 2010 (email.domain.com, legacy.domain.com, autodiscover.domain.com)

Now I think I want one Web Listener, with multiple IP addresses (for different purposes), 3 wildcard SSL certificates for all purposes (vs SAN certificate)

For example, TMG Listener1 for Exchange 2010 Services for 3 different domain names - 1 Wildcard certificate per company

    i.e.  *.company1.com; *.company2.com; *.company3.com

    * * * Can I have multiple wildcard SSL certificates per IP address?

Using Exchange 2010, Remote Desktop Session Broker, Windows XP SP3 clients with RDP Client 7.0, Unified messaging later, Iphones and other mobile devices using ActiveSync

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks
