How to schedule tasks. using scheduled task. RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have server running win 2008 standard edition with an additional domain also running win server 2008 standard.I want to copy a folder from main server to the additional domain in every 30 min or twice in a day .How i can do this?Is there any solution for this without using scheduled task.if not how i can do this in scheduled tasks?

    please help me with right answer?

  • You can write a script to accomplish the same and let this script run forever,

    <code>

    REPEAT:

    <task to be done>

    SLEEP 1800

    goto REPEAT

    </code>

    Better is to use task scheduler

    run taskschd.msc

    Use "Create Task" tab to accomplish the same

    As sathish said, You can create a simple script using XCOPY command and it every 30 mins using scheduled tasks.

    Here is a sample script:
