Debug functional, that prevent to start sr-iov RRS feed

    Need some help with enabling sr-iov technology on ibm blade, cuz im done with it.
    Specs:
    Windows server 2016 1607 (14393.2999) last updates
    HS23(7875) with lastest bios
    Emulex OCl11104-F-X Virtual Fabric Adapter 2-port 10Gb and 2-port 1Gb LOM  and latest network firmware
    Driver installed: Emulex, 17.11.2016, 11.2.1153.13
    In bios i set PCI Express Native Control, IntelVT, direct memory|cache access enabled

    gives zero output

    So everything points than sriov should just work. But when i enable\disable it on vm or changing iovweight i got this eventid 12585 on vmhost

    'iov-support' Network Adapter (95787cf8-5a2a-425d-9a26-b2d24b8603e6--5eeab46c-340d-4c43-afb2-788d61affd8f) failed to allocate a virtual function: The device does not recognize the command. (0x80070016): IOV networking might be incompatible with other configured networking features. (Virtual Machine ID 95787CF8-5A2A-425D-9A26-B2D24B8603E6)

    This VM is under failovercluster, but its not making anything when i remove it from there.

  • Hi ,

    Based on my research, it seems that on a well configured machine, you will get a positive integer in IovVirtualFunctionCount and IovSupportReasons has a single value in the array, “OK”.
