Windows XP Activation fails when the client is behind ISA Firewall RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We 're having problems with Windows XP activation of client PC behind the ISA server firewall. Our ISA allows access to the net but when attempting to activate, the activation screen hangs at 'checking for connectivity'. Also both port 80 and 443 are open to the internet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

P.S. Sorry about posting in the Vista forums

  • Make sure your browser is configured to use HTTP 1.1 through the proxy server and see if that fixes it.
