Unwrapping the entire JSON table RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to convert the entire JSON formatted structured table into a table.

The standard approach only unwraps portion of the file, and I am not sure how to get the whole table together: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/connect-to-a-json-file-f65207ab-d957-4bf0-bec3-a08bb53cd4c0.

I am looking for a simple solution that replicates this effect: https://konklone.io/json/.

    Thank you for your help!!

  • Hey,

Could you please share a sample of your json document?  not all json files are the same, so it really depends on how each json file was constructed.

With Power Query you should have these little icons (looks like 2 arrows going in opposite directions on the horizontal axis) on the columns that contain "Table", "List" and "Record" values so you can expand them, but then again, it depends on how your data is structured inside your json file.

EDIT: also a sample of how you'd like the output to look like would be phenomenal
