Log truncation failed because not all log files required for recovery were successfully copied RRS feed

  • Hi Experts,

    My Exchange Server backup failed with error Log truncation failed because not all log files required for recovery were successfully copied

    i used Nt backup tool to take the backup.

    below the failure backup message i got.

  • If exchange is complaining about missing log files than the backups will fail and you will need to dismount the store to commit the logs to the DB and delete the transaction logs.

    Now the error from ntback up says error on the media. Can you do a test backup of any folder on the C: drive?

    Which is the case?

    If James's method can't help you to solve your problem.According to your error, i recommend that you should check you app log. Or you also can check your backup log in order to find more information about your issue.
