Lync Response Group Issue - Invalid Configuration RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are having issue with Lync response groups while calling them internally. After a call to response group, we can hear the greeting but then call disconnects. Initially, it was limited to internal (Lync to Lync calls) but now occurring externally as well.

It is happening with old as well as newly created response groups -

For each dropped call to response group, I am seeing following message in captured logs -

P-ASSERTED-IDENTITY: "Response Group Name"<sip:responsegroup@mydomain.com>,<tel:+xxxxxxxxxxx>ms-diagnostics-public: 26029;reason="Call is disconnected because of invalid configuration."

    Any suggestion?

    Cheers,

    H.

  • Hi,

Which edition of Lync server did you deployment (Standard edition or Enterprise edition)?

The Lync Response Group relies on the SQL backend to up and working so it can write the correct information to the database in order for the Response Group to work. If it is Enterprise Lync server, please log in SQL server and search the rgsdyn--dbo.ActiveFEInstance. Please check if you could find the FE server FQDN and the port 8404 in this table.

  • Hi,

In Voice Routing, Trunk Configuration, Global, check if you have P-ASSERTED-IDENTIY DATA is enable. If so, desable it and see if that makes any difference

    Any idea?

I have created new Test response group but same results.

Migrating same response groups to another Lync hub - works perfectly fine....

  • When you set this up with a test response group, was it mimicking this group, or was it basic?

If you set up a new response group with a never-before-used DID, send it to a single queue which sends it to a single informal/attendant group with you as the only member, do you see the same issue?

  • I hate to ask this but I didn't see it mentioned... have you tried turning it off and on again?  I've seen some issues with Response Groups where calls would just not be delivered to the first user in a serial group regardless of their status, bouncing the service resolved the issue.

  • Tried all routing methods - restarted RG service individually couple of times, reboot server - but no luck !!!

  • After resetting IIS forcefully, the call drops are now stopped but now call routing is behaving poorly -

tried all routing options - intermittently calls fails to reach available agents, unanswered calls never disconnect or route to voice mail...
