Cannot run applications from network share with real-time scanner RRS feed

  • Question

  • We've got a problem to run such application where exe and data are on share that we use through a UNC from the Desktop.
The NsMpEng.exe will then use an average 40% of CPU, making application almost unusable.

I understood network locations cannot be excluded as these are not scanned.

How can we handle the fact Realtime actually performs the scan when application is used and takes so much resources?

By the way we have no option to install app. locally. We've designed a policy with no real time scan but we are at risk with malware during the day.

    Thanks for your help
