Live Meeting 2007 - Share Your Desktop missing from Share menu

  • I have a user in my company who has been using Live Meeting 2007 for several months now and recently has noticed that Share Your Desktop is missing from the Share menu in meetings she is hosting. Share a Program is also missing.

    They are missing from meeting that are scheduled, or set up via Meet Now. I don't know if they are missing from meetings she is invited to. She is able to get others who join the meeting to share their desktops. She is running the local application, not the web app. It doesn't matter if the meeting is set up via the Outlook add-in or the local application.

    If I use Run As Admin to open the local application, the options are present, but leaving the user as a local admin to run this program is not an option for obvious reasons. I have searched online and have found absolutely nothing of any help.

  • I ran the install again to do a repair of the current install. This solved the issue.
