Microsoft Word 2013 issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a few computers with office 2013. When they do a 10-20 page reports that include linked pictures that are 3-4 MB each, when they open up or work on one of the document that each image is linked to a file, When people who use word 2013 the processor (CPU) spikes up to 50%-75% and memory will go up from example 2GB to 3GB until they close the word file then everything goes back to normal.

The documents are saved as a DOCX, if we save it to a DOC, it seems the problem goes away. Also, for the images that are linked in the DOCX document, sometime if you leave the document open on one of the pages, the linked images shows up on the screen then disappears on the screen after about 30 seconds then it reappears again and disappears. It does this continuously until you close the document
