How to set Co-Owner rights for Azure RMS with Powershell RRS feed

  • Question

  • If I try to set Co-Owner-rights for a User in a Azure RMS template by powershell, it doesn't works.

    I use this command:

    $r2 = New-AadrmRightsDefinition –EmailAddress marketing@contoso.com -Rights "Co-Owner"

    Add-AadrmTemplate -Names $names –Descriptions $Descriptions -RightsDefinitions $r2 -Status Published

If I show in Azure Management website (manage.windowsazure.com), I see the user entry in the rights section of this template, but no rights entry like "Co-Owner".

How can I set this right by powershell?

  • Thanks for posting this - there does seem to be a problem here that we're investigating. For now, can you try specifying the individual rights (not the "bundled rights", such as "Co-Author" and "Co-Owner"), and specify them in uppercase (despite the help saying they are not case sensitive).

So, for Co-Owner, it would look like:

    $r2 = New-AadrmRightsDefinition –EmailAddress marketing@contoso.com -Rights "VIEW","EDIT","DOCEDIT","EXTRACT","VIEWRIGHTSDATA","EDITRIGHTSDATA", "OBJMODEL","EXPORT","PRINT","OWNER"
