Windows 8 File Backup decreased my hard drive's limit from 500 GB to 32 GB

Question
-
Hey guys, so I recently turned on file history of my Windows 8, and used my 500 GB Western Digital External Hard Drive as the drive I want to save my stuff to. It when on to save the files, but, when I inserted my external hard drive to my computer, I noticed that the space present for my hard drive was now 32 GB only. Is there any explanation why this happened, and are there any solutions to change my hard drive's limit to 500 GB again? Thanks.Wednesday, May 14, 2014 5:08 AM

Hi,
Have you checked the link provided by Arnav Sharma?
The space might be occupied by different versions of the same files, we might take a try with the suggestions to delete old files as mentioned in the above link(this one), if this didn't help much, please keep us updated with the current situation.
Meanwhile, please also take a look into the below article regarding file history:
What if something goes wrong in File History?
