WinXP app is getting 8004cf3b but Office is working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I have a rms production server running with non-domain workstations for a self developed application (registry key for serivce discovery and added rms location to local intranet sites).

I Win7 all is working right but in WinXP (SP3 with rms client installed) the application is not working. The strange is that Office is working OK with RMS on those WinXP (using the same user) but our app is hitting the same error always.

All logs on IIS rms server are normal and RMS logs state that CLC have been created with sucess.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Joao

  • Is the RMS certificate trusted and CRL distribution points are reachable? http://blogs.technet.com/b/rmssupp/archive/2009/05/22/to-crl-or-not-to-crl-that-is-the-question.aspx

  • Hi Martin, Thanks for your reply...

I'm using a 3rd party certificate (from network solutions). Also added all certs to local PC (NS hierarchy) just in case....with no success. The CRL endpoint within the cert is reachable by the client PC. no prob here.

I'm able to reach rms webservices endpoints without errors...all is ok (using IE).

This is the third WinXP that i've tried (SP3 with all updates, including fix for rms). All gave the same problem.

We're out of ideas... Logs on RMS server (iis and rms logs) all look normal, as success.

The same code app (code) work well on Win7.

Edit: Read elsewhere about proxy server problems...There are no proxy servers in my case.

    Any clue ?

    Joao
