I would like to know where you saved the Excel file for mail merge, local computer or other cloud storage. What's the detailed filter setting did you use?
Please provide the detailed steps about the mail merge processing and edit recipient list filters, then we can follow the steps in our side for more analysis.
Also collect the detailed Word version numbers in your side: In Word, click File > Account > About Word.
