  • Ok Tahir,

From what I understand of your post, you are trying to enter an email ID to a group with sharing privileges?

From my knowledge the only groups that by default have these privileges are:

    Server Operators
    Power Users

If AD users when created by default, are in the Domain Users group. The
Domain Users group has limited access to the local workstations because by
default the Domain Users group is automatically part of the local Users
group on every joined machine. If you give them local rights and
permissions, they can create shares as well as perform a host of other tasks
including installing software and allowing browser plug-ins to be installed,
which can of course possibly allow spyware. Leaving users with minimal
    rights is the most secure.

If you really want to allow them the ability, log on as a domain admin on
the local machine, goto Computer Management, Users/Groups, in the
Administrators Group, either add the AD domain user account to just allow
that specific user to have local admin, or the Domain Users group to the
local admin group, which will allow anyone logging on to be an admin.

To make the change at the global level, you can do it through a GPO using
    the Restricted Groups feature.
