  • I have installed sccm 2012 sp1 on win 2008 r2, i did configure firewall ports, extend ad schema, configured boundaries and boundary group. i used sccm account for client installation. on client pc (win 7)  i disabled windows firewall, but configmgr unable to connect to wmi .

  • There is nothing wrong with the above snippet -- the server side portion of the push process completed successfully.

    The line "Unable to connect to WMI (root\ccm) on remote machine "CLIENT", error = 0x8004100e." is completely expected when no ConfigMgr client agent exists on the target system already because the root\ccm namespace is created by the ConfigMgr client agent. This is simply the push process trying to locate a pre-existing client agent and info about it. If none exists, that's ok.

  • On one of the clients where the agent didn't install, examine the ccmsetup.log located in C:\Windows\ccmsetup\Logs.

  • but after client push installation finished i checked client pc and there is no configuration manager in control panel, i retarded the pc but still the same.

  • is the client installation successful ? read the logs from c:\windows\ccmsetup\logs\ folder .something went wrong with ccmsetup installation.

  • Could you please verify that there's a C:\Windows\ccmsetup folder at all? If so, please attach the ccmsetup.log that can be found in C:\Windows\ccmsetup\Logs as instructed earlier.
