    I m currently creating a site definition with addition of a visual webpart. But it shows following error.

    i m new to sharepoint

    please solve my problem.

    Hi Arun,

    it looks as if you did not define the MyWebPartControls reference at the beginning of the page:

    <%@ Register TagPrefix="MyWebPartControls" Namespace="..." Assembly="..." %>
