Add a sub site to a new content database RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are about to start a project in which we will be scanning in a lot of paper documents.  I know the storage will be ~50gig and want to store this data in its own content database.  It there a way to have a site in a content database that appears as a sub site of another site.

    http://SPS/sites/HR
       is in one content database
    http://SPS/sites/HR/employeeRecords
       is in another content database

    This is Sharepoint 2007.

  • I am not getting, how will you think about the new content database for subsite. Content Database is belongs to web application not for particular site or subsite. Once you create a web application in Sharepoint your all sites/subsites will reside in same content database. As far as mass storage of documents is concern you can use Record Center template for this.
