APPCRASH : windows explorer is not responding ( vista) RRS feed

  • i have this message cropping up wen i try to open or copy sum video files.now even when i try to open ma external hard drive or my pen drive dis error strts to appear. i hav tried doin a system restore but dind help.plz giv me a solution as soon as possible...........

  • 1. Try installing all the latest Windows Update.

    2. Login in safe mode of your computer and try to perform same operation which you use encounter above error message in normal mode.

    if it works without any error message in safe mode, create a new user account and check in it (restarting the computer in normal mode )

    3. Disable all the antivirus.

    4. If you still get the error message, repair the OS

  • What about the ffdshow.ax module? The exception code "c0000005" indicates an access violation.
    It could be a faulting Explorer shell extension: you could use the program that you find at the following address

    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html

    to get a list of the installed shell extension and disable one or more of them if you want.
