Forefront Client installation - Which WSUS components do I need to approve? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Pardon my ignorance,

I have Forefront setup and want to deploy Client through Group Policy/WSUS.

In my WSUS "Product and Classifications" I have checked "Forefront Client Security".
In "Classficiations" tab,  I selected "Critical Updates", "Definition Updates", "Security Updates", and "Service Packs".

What else do I need to specify in order to push out an automatic client install?

    Thank you in advanc.

  • The actual client is in the "Updates" catagory.
It's listed as "Client for Microsoft Forefront Client Security (1.0.1703.0)
You MUST approve it manually because it has a EULA.

    Thank you, Eddie Bowers!
It's working now, and it's exactly what you said.

  • As you should know, the client setup is not named Forefront Client Setup, it came as update too  "Client for Microsoft Forefront Client Security (1.0.1703.0)". And the EULA must be approved before it cliet can be installed. Play around & u should get it. good luck.
