Microsoft Excel 2010 increased its size when saving! RRS feed

    Hi,

     

    I just want to ask why there are additional rows when I save the excel file. Causing it to enlarge its size.

    I tried the workaround to save the file as HTM (webpage) to see the culprit sheet, copy the data to a new sheet then save as just excel sheet.. But Will this work in the long run?

    In what format do you save the workbook ?
    If you save it as Excel '97-2003 file tyoe, then his size is bigger then the size of a file saved as *.xlsx.

    By the way, what additional rows ?
    What does your excel file contains: formulas, text, images ?
