One OWA user is having problems logging on to IM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have one user from approximately 9000 that has a problem signing in to IM from and OWA session.

From the OWA\Instantmessgaing I can see these entries that repeat throughout the log indicating a timeout, but no indicating if it's client or server. I would like to think it's the users' internet connection that is unreliable, but would like to ask the community if this is something you have seen yourselves:

    Thanks

    Kev

  • Does the users email address and SIP address match?

It may be a good idea to do an export of the users contacts (export-csuserdata), disable them, and then re-enable them for Skype.

  • Thanks

After going through the connectivity test web site, it seems there is a problem at the "Testing HTTP authentication methods for URL" part which could indicate an issue with our load balancer for requests to the SIP domain (our other SIP domain works fine on the same VIP), unless anyone has seen this error before and knows a quick fix?

    Cheers

  • Hi KevDrummond,

According your description and reply, if I understand correctly, you find one user cannot login IM in OWA page.

And based on your logs, there are some error about "Exception: UCWEB Failure: Code=OcsResponseTimeout" and it may be related to "Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."

Could you please check if the user use any proxy server or not?

And do other users in the same sip domain have this issue?

I suggest you could review the policy for this sip domain in your LB device or firewall.

    Thanks.
