Is it possible to do that RRS feed

  • Dear All,

     

    Our manager want to do following

    Search , the result will return all the document even the user dont have the permission. but only the title not the content, if he click, he will ask a access request.

     

     

    If yes, how do do it?

  • You will have to execute the search under another account by either impersonation or using SPSercurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges. You can either write your own code to go against the fulltextsqlquery class or use the search.asmx to execute a fulltextsql query. This is the only way to limit what is returned. Using the keyword search syntax automatically brings back more than just the Title managed property. It is possible that when the user clicks on one of the documents that they will be prompted for user credentials to view the document. If you need something different you will have to create your own search results webpart.

    This is not possible with sharepoint Out of the Box functionality.We acheive this through some customization .
