  • Question

  • I curently have small business server SP2 and would like to upgrade to SBS 2011 Standard/Essentials. I have looked over the website to see if I can migrate from SBS 2003 to SBS 2011 but I only see a reference to SBS 2003 R2. Would I be able to upgrade directly to 2011 or will I have to upgrade to SBS 2003 R2 or SBS 2008 first?

  • You may upgrade from SBS 2003 Standard or SBS 2003 Premium directly to SBS 2011. No intermediate steps are required. Follow the migration documentation carefully, prepare/fix your existing installation properly, and visit this forum, and you will be able to move to SBS 2011 fairly smoothly. You may also want to visit http://www.sbsmigration.com for another migration scenario.
