  • Question

  • Hi

I've made some text changes to the above file in the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\System Center Service Manager Portal\ContentHost\Clientbin\en folder as I don't like the default text that comes with the portal however it hasn't changed within the portal. Could it be that it's detected my browser as en-GB meaning it won't update or is there something else I need to do?

    Thanks

  • It looks like there is an issue with the "en" files.

Anders mentioned this in his blog post as well:

How to change the texts/translations on a non-English Self-service Portal

    Quote from Anders:

"Note: This doesn’t seem to work for the original texts written in English even though there is an English directory (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\System Center Service Manager Portal\ContentHost\Clientbin\en)."

  • 1) Not all of the fields of the portal are defined in that .xml file

    2) Try deleting all browser cached data and reloading the SMPortal. That .xml is one of the cached files.
