WSUS 6.2.9200 (2012 instance) reports win 8 & 2012r2 as win 6.3 - KB2734608 does not install RRS feed

    I am running a single WSUS server in our environment, currently both old and new are running with updates being supplied microsoft ->2012 server -> clients

    Moving WSUS from 2008 server (old) to a 2012 server (new). 

    adding WSUS roles results in version 6.2.9200.16384 

    clients running server 2012r2 or windows 8/8.1 are reported as Windows 6.3 and cleints running windows 10 are reporting Windows Vista.

    I have attempted to install KB2734608 / KB2720211 to resolve the Windows 6.3 errors however as this patch is for WSUS 3.2.7600.xxx it will not install on a 2012 server.

    Where is the patch/fix to resolve the Windows 6.3 bug for WSUS 6.2.9200.xxxxx?
