Windows 8.1 slow to return from sleep

Question
-
Since installing Windows 8.1, it takes my machine approx. 15 seconds to resume from sleep, whereas it was pretty much instant before.
GIVENS:
- PC - HP p6510y
- Hibernate After = Never
- Allow Hybrid sleep: On
- PCI Express - Link state power management - Moderate power savings
Any suggestions?

Run defragment and disk clean up.
Run Windows Update and install all updates.
In Control Panel, open Action Center and check if there is any message for update drivers.

Install the WPT (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/4847.install-the-windows-performance-toolkit-wpt.aspx , open a cmd prompt with admin rights and run this command
xbootmgr -trace standby -traceFlags BASE+LATENCY+DISK_IO_INIT+DISPATCHER+DRIVERS+FILE_IO+FILE_IO_INIT+POWER+DRIVERS+FILENAME -stackwalk profile+CSwitch+ReadyThread -resultPath C:\TEMP
Zip and upload the file to your skydrive and post a link here (post a link without http or replace http with hxxp if you still can't insert a full link)"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code"
