Programmatically Print to PDF RRS feed

    Does anyone know how to implement Print to PDF from ProClarity programmatically (C#)  ?

    Code samples would be appreciated

  • I don't have a C# example, but I do have an old VB example from a COM add-in we wrote awhile back.

  • Alternatively, you could just use a freeware Print to PDF driver such as CutePDF (http://www.cutepdf.com/).  I use it all the time and it works great.  It shows up as a printer without having to write any code.

  • Thank you for taking time to reply and posting your code.

    My assignment is to automate the 'Print to PDF', i.e. to have the program open briefing books and automatically save them in PDF format on the server over night.
    In the SDK I do not find how to instanciate the Application or the IBriefingBook if the program is not an AddIn..

  • I think what you'd need to do is take the PPageCtrl and feed MDX into it, produce the view, and then automate the printing from there.  Alternatively, you could look at a product by Iris BI that might do exactly what you need.  http://www.irisbi.com/
