Rosewill RCR-FD200 Driver RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Rosewill RCR-FD200 internal floppy/media card reader combo.  I've noticed that the card reader seems to be causing sleep problems with Vista (not waking up to be more specific).   The reader works fine with the native drivers vista installed for it, but im wondering if anyone knows if/when Rosewill will release Vista drivers for this product.  They have drivers out for the RCR-100 internal card reader and I was wondering if these would work for mine.

    Thanks,

    Mike

  • rosewill has discontinued the fd-200 and has not written any drivers since the original win98 compatible drivers.

If you used a internal usb connection then disable your power saving profiles in your mobo bios to prevent sleeping or use the devce manager.

check which usb header the device is using and make sure the card reader is in the first usb header. Check the bios for usb settings and windows should recoginize the reader.

    Hopefully this helps someone.
