Questions about ATA and its performance with Exchange or File Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Do you know if Microsoft ATA can works with Exchange on the same way that it does with Domain Controller?

I mean with users in DC Microsoft ATA is able to know if a user is trying to authenticate and what computer or device the user uses to authenticate, Can ATA do the same on Exchange, if a user is logging or if someone tries to catch the password on Exchange.?

The same question for SQL Server and File Server.

  • Microsoft ATA is only analysing traffic going to and from the Domain Controllers. Most of the times the user would use a domain logon before accessing other resources.

This can not be used for capturing information going to and from Exchange, SQL or File server. For this kind of access SCOM is a better solution.

I hope this will give you some input for your further research
