USB mouse stutters when moving at slow speeds RRS feed

    amd 955 black edition x4

    mouse is a sidewinder x5

     

    whenever i move the mouse at a decent speed everything is fine but when i click icons or move small distances it stutters or skips slightly making my mouse coordination nearly impossible

    i have bought 3 dif mice of the same kind in anticipation of using the same mouse for many many years but all 3 have the problem so it is not a mouse issue

     

    also im not that great with computers so saying something like reinstall the BIOS chipset isnt going to cut it. the method at which to DO said thing would however

  • At the answers forum there is a huge topic about this issue under a x64 Windows. Do you use a  x64 Windows 7? Have you tried different drivers?

    I have the exact same problem but can't find the topic you're referring to. Can you please post a link?

    Oh and I'm on x64 Windows 7.

    Edit: Forgot to mention that I'm using a Logitech mouse. I've tried with two Logitech mice nad they both have the same problem. One a Performance MX and the other a old standard model.
