Problem with table / xml fields in Word template RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

How do I make XML fields or table rows conditional in a Word template?

I have a table in a Word template. The table looks like shown below. The fields in the table are added by selecting XML mapping under Developer:

Item No.      Itemtext1            Qty.      Price       Amount

It is the ERP system NAV that opens the template when for example the user is printing a Quote. That part works just fine. My problem is, that not all item numbers includes both ItemText 1, 2 and 3, but if the system (NAV) doesn't send Itemtext2 and/or 3, these rows in the table is left blank, before the next item no. is added on the next row in the table etc.

That leaves me with at table that is filled out correctly, but with a lot of empty rows between the Itemnumbers. Can I enter a condition that deletes the tablerows that only contains "blanks", can I enter conditions on the fields in the table, or is there other possibilities?

    Regards, Gitte
