BitLocker freezes RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have encrypted partition by BitLocker. When I enter password and clic encrypt, Bitlocker freezes. Windows still working, but bitlocker encrypting drive a lot of time. When i restart computer, bitlocker works fine. Always works fine after restart, never before.

    Anyone could help?

  • Make sure you have installed all the updates especially KB3124200.

    I) Press Windows + x on your keyboard.

    ii) Select Command prompt (Admin) to open Administrator Command Prompt .

    iii) In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following commands. Press the Enter key after each command:
         dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
         dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    ===================

    I) Press Windows + x on your keyboard.

    ii) Select Command prompt (Admin) to open Administrator Command Prompt .

    iii) In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following command:

    SFC /Scannow
