  • You need to ensure several pieces of information are correct

    1. The Server is correct (this is the Database server name not the MIM Service Server name). If you have created a SQL Alias on the Sync server using Cliconfg.exe (in the system32 directory) you can use this name here. This can be helpful if you are using a named instance or a non-standard TCP port) If you are using a named instance and don't create an alias then it should be like this MIMSQL01\MIMService (where the first part is the name of the Server hosting SQL and the part after the backslash is the name of the instance).
    2. Database is correct (this is the name of the MIM Service database -- usually FIMService
    3. FIM Service Base Address (this is the URL for the MIM Service) -- usually something like this: http://mimserver01:5725

Finally you need to ensure that the user account you use is a member of the "FIM_SynchronizationService" database role inside the FIMService database.

  • In the FIM Service Base Address 01 is common for all, or just an example. Because my mim server name is mimservice. So should I write http://mimservice01:5725 or http://mimservice:5725 (this is current configuration).

    Thanks

  • the 01 was just an example so for you it would be http://mimservice:5725

Where is your FIMService database located? On the same server or a different server? Named Instance? Default Port? Custom Port?

What user account are you using for the MA? Did you double check the role membership?
