Check ACL Tickbox in WSS 3.0 RRS feed

    We are using WSS 3.0 and are getting an ACL check being run everytime we upload a document. We have a large site content database and wish to avoid the check as it is taking a long time to complete (> 60 secs). 

    In 2007 there is a tickbox to turn off this check, does something compatible exist in WSS 3.0?
