Windows Management Framework 3.0 failed to install Error details: Code D0000022 RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I'm trying to install Powershell 3.0 on Domain Controllers running on Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64) production environment (it was success on Development Environment (Domain Controllers running on Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64) )).

    I have installed prerequesits mentioned on https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh847837.aspx#BKMK_InstallingOnWindows7andWindowsServer2008R2

    Its installing successfully however when you reboot the Server it reverts back to previous version.

    I found below error  on Update history.

    Update for Windows (KB2506143)

    Installation date: ‎11/‎25/‎2015 10:28 AM

    Installation status: Failed

    Error details: Code D0000022

    Update type: Important

    This package installs Microsoft Windows Management Framework 3.0

  • i would install .net framework 4.6, make sure the server is fully up to date with windows updates and then try to install management framework 4.0

    check CBS.log for additional error details if you wish to pursue v3.0

    Error code D0000022 means access denied. As armin19 has mentioned above, please check the CBS log to find if there is any access deny in it.

    Besides, your question is more related to powershell, to get better help, please post your question on the powershell forum.
