Sequencing IE 8 Plugin in App-v 5.0

Question
-
Hi,
I've sequenced a IE 8 plugin running on Windows 7 with App-v 4.6 and worked, in 4.6 we can define the pattern program as .exe path. But, in App-v 5.0 Sequencer I can't choose a .exe file to associate as my pattern program, I can choose only .appv files.
I need to sequence Internet Explorer 8 in App-v 5, is it possible knowing that IE doesn't have a setup for Windows 7?
Thanks.

By pattern program, you mean parent program? You can skip this and select the option to create a shortcut to IE in the advanced editing tab.

Sequence the plugin by choosing addin or plugin option in the sequencer and create a shortcut by pointing to IE in the advanced editing tab.
NOTE: While testing in standalone mode using powershell, do publish it globally. Or else the plugins might not appear in some cases when published locally. But I believe this has been rectified in APP-V 5.0 SP3.
