  • Hi Bassam Darweesh,

Based on the description, there is no Exchange server in the site which holds the SFB.  If this is an Exchange user logging in the Outlook, I suppose the Exchange is in another site. May I know if the Exchange server has integrated with the new SFB?

If not, you can refer to the following links to integrate Skype for Business server and Exchange server:

  • I'm assuming by the web scheduler that you are using a O365 subscription service.  Are you subscribed to exchange and Skype business plans?  Are you signed in on both applications?  I haven't had much experience with O365, just want I've read around the web.

  • Bassam,

If this is a hybrid deployment with Skype for Business on prem and O365 Exchange services you will need to follow this technet deployment article.

    https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/canitpro/2015/12/23/step-by-step-skype-for-business-2015-hybrid-configuration/

If you are attempting to use Skype for Business to create meetings with a non exchange environment I do not believe that will work and it is unsupported by Microsoft.

  • Ah, I see. This might be Office install related. I know some users that had issues going from 2010 to 2016.  What version of office is running?

  • Lync is designed to integrate with Exchange and uses Exchange protocols such as MAPI & EWS to communicate. as you have Exchange and Lync both are different sites make sure Lync resolves EWS and installed latest Skypeforbusiness meeting plugin installed.

if you have any issues with SkypeForBusiness and Outlook issues use Offcat tool to identify if you have any application issues.

  • Bassam,

I just want to clarify something. You said "i have a skype for business in a new site and its functions working properly but in that site i didn't have Exchange ( mail is hosted)"

Does this mean that you do not have exchange with your skype for business installation?

  • Hi Bassam,

Could you also verify the EWS part as Raju was suggesting, since you have both email and sip address the same , there should not be any issues.

  • Bassam,

Sorry brother if there is no exchange connect then creating online meetings is not going to work.
