Client install using GPO for Cisco VPN Users RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know the client install happens after the GPO reboot. My assumption is that since the user is off the network once the computer starts up again, the client install will fail. My question is, if the user gets back onto the network after the reboot using the Cisco VPN client, is there a task that is sent to the machine to install, will the install take place with the gpo refresh interval, or is this functionality going to fail all the time?

  • The GPO deployment happens before the VPN connection is created, so it wont work.
Deploying the client using WSUS might be the right solution in your scenario.
