SharePoint site Last accessed date RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I need to create inventory of sites which have not been accessed by end users for last 90 days or so. The usage reporting we have currently is for 30 days only.

Has anyone tried this thru SQL query or PowerShell or C# code to get the last accessed date for each site.

I don't want to base decision on the last modified date, need to retrieve the last accessed date for each site.

    Any guidance will be helpful.

  • Hi Rathi,

My recommendation is parsing the IIS logs as what suggested by Jithendar.

If you want a repeatable process, you can develop a desktop application for parsing the IIS logs and install it at the server machine, then every time you need a inventory, all you need to do is running this application.

Or you can use the Windows Task Scheduler to execute this application periodically and automatically.

    Best regards,
