Saving responsive web page as mht file causes responsiveness to be lost. RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Like the title says - when I save a responsive web page in internet explorer as a mht file - the responsiveness is gone. Behavior is the same in both IE9 and IE10. I did find a Firefox plug in that seems to work for this functionality - but I don't want to roll out Firefox to my entire office - which requires this functionality. Is there any love for saving responsive pages in IE?

  • Steps to reproduce:

Visit :https://www.xpressreg.net/register/IMXE113/attendee/reginfo.asp for an example of this behavior. That page is a responsive page. The content is dynamically resized as you resize the browser window.

Save that page as a mht file then open the mht file. Notice that the dynamic resizing of page content - a.k.a. responsiveness - is gone.
