windows updates are hanging

iam running windows 7 professional SP1 on my machine and i have been trying to update it and its hanging on checking for updates, i have tried command lines like C:\Windows\system32\wuapp.exe ,C:\Windows\system32\wuauclt.exe /detectnow and i have used tools like Windows6.1-KB3102810-x64.msu,WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab but still no luck

Hi,

Delete old updated file from the machine:

Rename this folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution, Before stop windows update service.

rename as SoftwareDistribution.old

then try to update.

mark as answer if helped.
