Do I NEED X16-19332.EXE

    Question

  • A programme I have found that X16-19332.exe, which I see sits in a subdirectory all by itself, namely "Off-Beta" on my C: drive, is occupying a lot of space -- nearly 650Mb.  What I would like to know is -- can I delete it, and what would be the safe way to do so?

I had downloaded Office 2010 for a test, quite some time ago, but hardly ever used it.

Can I just get rid of it by simply deleting the file (the only one in that subdirectory)??

Or do I NEED it for something else, too?  (I doubt it.)  I am running Windows XP, SP3 on a 5-6 year old IBM laptop -- and I sure could use the space!

  • this filename matches the downloadable Office2010 Beta installer. you can safely delete this file - it is the equivalent of a copy of the CD sitting on your c: drive.

  • Thanks a lot -- that was helpful.  I imagined I COULD just delete it, but didn't want to do anything I'd later regret....
