Update Deployment Share - Does deployment_share\Scripts get changed? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

    Using MDT 2013 I have edited the credentials_ENU wizard pane to auto-fill the domain when first loading MDT so our techs dont have to keep typing it, I also have Dart 7 integrated into the litetouchx86.wim. As of late, when I add new PXE drivers to the boot image (litetouchx86.wim) and update the deployment share, the new .wim created no longer has Dart 7 tools (even though no settings changed in the Windows PE tab of the share) and the tools.cab are still located in correct folders. Additionally, the credentials_ENU page no longer auto-fills the domain for login. Does updating a deployment share rebuild all the scripts to their defaults!? And why does my Dart 7 no longer work, when it worked before updating my deployment share?

  • YEs, updating a deployment share will update the scripts.

    When updating share, I would *BACKUP EVERYTHING* and go over each change with a fine toothcomb, epically if you modified any scripts.

    Also, there is no need to modify Credentials_ENU.xml. Simply set

    UserDomain = MyDomain

    in the customsettings.ini file.

    Dart 7 is designed for Windows 7, and shouldn't run on the Win 8 version of WinPE. Upgrade to Dart 8.
