Error while printing to the server's redirected printer (Error ID 372)

    Question

  • Hello everyone.

Well, I have an ENG server running Windows Server 2012 Standard x64 and am having problems in the following scenario:

When I try to print something through a redirected (local) printer, accessing a (external) server through the "remote desktop" does not forward the print to my machine, it loads everything but gets lost on the way.

After analyzing the logs, I identified the following event:

Description: The Document Print document, owned by the administrator, could not be printed on the CutePDF Writer printer (5 redirected). Try to print the document again or restart the print spooler.
Data type: RAW. Size of the spool file in bytes: 204328. Number of bytes printed: 0. Total number of pages in the document: 1. Number of pages printed: 0. Client computer: \\ SERVER. Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 5. Access is denied.
    Event ID: 372
    Level: Error
    Source: PrintService
Keywords: Classic spooler event, document print job.

I tried different machines, but didn´t work, the same problem.
I also tried to install the driver locally from the remote printer, run everything as administrator, force the easy printer, restart the print spooler, as it informs the error, however none of this worked ...

In searches for event error, I found the following hotfix:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3019282/print-spooler-service-crashes-when-you-print-documents-on-a-network-sh
    KB: KB3019282

But what I found is for windows server 2012 standard r2, and when I try to run, it gives the following error:
    "Windows Update Standalone Installer
The installation can not be applied to your computer. "

Has anyone ever had this same problem? Anyone does know the same hotfix but for Windows Server 2012 std?

    Thank you all.
