LAN Network Adapter Issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Intel R Ethernet connection (2) I219-V

    I211 Gigabit Network Connection

    ^ the problem in question

Recently I had a power outage that KO'd my modem and router.

I had both replaced and have been receiving 230+ Mbps/10+ Mbps upload

Since my Ethernet has not performed the same.

    Some Diagnostic steps I've taken

    Reset Network Adapter

    Checked for pin displacement

    Set public DNS/flush DNS

    System Recovery

    Reinstall through Recovery drive

    Updated drivers

    Reinstalled/Rollback drivers

    Updated BIOS

    checked Windows Update

Bought a brand new Cat 6 cable

Ensured Speed & Duplex are set to auto detect

    disabled firewall

ensured both modem/router firmware are up to date

    Reset both Modem/Router

    power cycled both

Plugged directly into Modem (issue locating IP)

    replaced cabling

    Additional Errors I receive:

Err_Network_Change ( I do not use VPN so that's not it)

Ethernet port "activity" light is Orange (which according to my MOBO manual means it's 1 Gbps) but the other "activity" light is yellow (which isn't mentioned in the manual, but a solid light mean "no data transmission is receiving or occurring")

My port on my router has a single orange light whereas the others are green

any help provided would be greatly appreciated
