SMS 2003 Program rejected (wrong platform) - Vista SP2 X64 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi ,
My enviornment is SMS 2003 SP3. I am trying to configure a program to install package only on x64 bit platform. I have selected all the options under program-requirement for x64 bit platform. However when i target this program to a Vista SP2 X64 bit machine, its failes with "Program rejected (wrong platform) "message.
Please help me to troubleshoot this.

Also , I do not see any option for Vista SP2 or XP SP3 under listed options while selecting the platform where the program should run. Is Vista SP2 and XP SP3 supported by SMS ( program-requirement)

    Thanks,

  • SMS 2003 SP3 supports Vista SP2 x64 and XP SP3. Make sure that the SP3 SMS 2003 client is installed on these client computers

  • Hi,

    Its a SP3 SMS Client.

Also, it works for x64 XP SP2 client , however does not work for x64 XP SP3 or X64 Vista SP2 clients.

    Thanks.
